Stucco is a combination of powdered limestone or cement that is then blended with sand and water until it reaches a mortar-like consistency (it has a rough textured appearance when finished). Stucco is usually applied by hand over metal wire or lath that allows the stucco to bond to it and give it more strength. Generally stucco lasts for years but over time it can begin to get dirty, start to crack and look fairly unsightly if it’s not kept up.
